Welcome to the Sourdough Experience with Angelo!
Join us for an immersive two-day sourdough bread class, led by Angelo Fichera, the owner of Peppina Sicilian Bakery, celebrated by The Times as one of the 49 best bakeries in the country.
Class Overview: Over the course of this hands-on workshop, you’ll discover the art of crafting authentic sourdough bread, using just flour, water, starter, and a pinch of salt.
Day 1: Saturday at 3 PM We’ll kick off the class by feeding our starter—the foundation of all great sourdough. You’ll learn how to make and fold the dough, perfecting your shaping techniques to prepare for baking.
Day 2: Sunday Afternoon at 3 PM Return to see your hard work pay off as we bake the bread! You’ll witness the transformation of dough into beautifully crusty loaves, ready for you to take home.
What to Expect:
- Hands-On Learning: Suitable for all experience levels, this class will guide you through each stage of the sourdough process, from maintaining your starter to baking the final product.
- Take Home Essentials: You’ll leave with a jar of your own starter, freshly baked bread, and dough ready to bake at home, along with essential tools like a banneton and a bread scoring tool.
- Support Beyond the Class: Feel free to take notes and photos, and you’ll have access to Angelo via email for any questions or troubleshooting after the workshop.
